![]() ![]() I'm thinking the former, because there is a mid-stage of those encounters at least when it comes to the white ball installation up top of the map, where you encounter the scientist slumped on the floor, telling you to stay away from him, probably because he KNOWS that he's turning into a monster.Īs for loose ends, I doubt that the dev will have any interest in writing a coherent story. Well that part is easy to figure out: Either the nanites slowly mutated them into those things, or those things are special hunter-killers of humans. I still dont have an answer as to why they exist in this world yet. Its going to throw you for a bit of a loop when you discover your first AV1 boss in small form. Ill give you a hint about how to discover them, you need to pay attention to the "humans" you meet around various spots of the map. Just wait until you discover a certain boss, much smaller and appears 3 times, in Axiom Verge 2 toward the end of the game. Trace and Hammond came to the world in AV2 long before Indra arrived. But honestly, after collecting all of the "lore" from Axiom Verge 2, and getting 100% in both map and items, AV2 throws a lot of wrenches into the gears, as it were, that you REALLY have to digest to get a good idea and deep understanding of whats going on overall. Im guessing that Axiom Verge 3 (when it comes out in another 5-6 years) will wind up tying up the loose ends from the first 2 games. Thank fully the story in AV2 doesn't seem as convoluted as AV1.Īxiom Verge 2 helps tie up a good amount of loose ends from Axiom Verge 1, but also presents its own story that needs answers. I mean (full story spoilers for AV2) I get that some culture made some superweapons that could erase the multiverse, and that they ultimately decided to commit collective suicide in order to make sure that they would never be used but there's also talk about wars and stuff, and people with strange names, and I just want to know if there's something important and truly enlightening, that I missed. However, having beaten Axiom Verge 2 yesterday, while not even bothering to piece together those logs, I have to wonder if somebody tried to do that, and if the story actually makes sense, and has some sort of value to it. ![]() ![]() I don't know if this was intended, or if the dev genuinely has a passion for deep lore, and maybe just want the strangeness to be the flavour of the game. It had multiple cultures, alien lingo, and that lore was scattered all over the world, but even after having collected it all, it was just far, FAR too much to grasp. I haven't had much sleep, but hopefully I still make sense.Īxiom Verge 1 had a story so convoluted that I couldn't make sense of it. ![]()
